Moose are big. You know that intellectually, but when you are hidden and a large bull walks by within six yards, you cannot help being impressed. This bull and cow were so intent on each other that I was of no consequence.
Shiras' moose (Alces alces shirasi) are found in the Rocky Mountains in the United States and Canada.
