On an October Yellowstone National Park trip, I came across this stretch of the Gibbon River. It looks pretty peaceful - now. Minutes before, there was chaos in the trees back up the slope when a strong gust of wind started a tree fall of fire-damaged trees. A domino effect had trees falling verywhere, dust, and then as suddenly as it started, it stopped. The dust cleared and sun lit on this spot of grass. This charged atmosphere had to be painted with one of the bull elk I had seen.
