This encounter was one I will not forget. The largest land animal, elephants feel really large when standing next to one. When one is in a very small canoe along a deserted stretch of the Zambezi River, Zimbabwe, and is looking up at a very angry jumbo, the sky is filled with elephant. Although his posture and ears do not indicate a mock charge, the five of us were able to paddle past him before he charged down his bank.
