One form of exercise I can’t get enough of is snorkeling. My first outing was very difficult because my mask kept filling with water. Though the seal seemed fine, the water was leaking in. It wasn’t until my husband dove underwater that he saw the problem. I was smiling. I was so excited that I was breaking the seal every time I saw a new fish!

This green sea turtle is one we encountered near Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii on our last trip. We didn’t know he was there until he glided just past us to grab 5 or 6 breaths and then leisurely descended to feed on more coral. The abstract reflections captured my attention and I knew I had a future painting.
