My first experience with stacked rocks was up-Island on Martha’s Vineyard. Rocks which were left from glacial terminal moraines had been rounded from thousands of years of surf. I’d come across these “towers” and found them intriguing. The ones who built them knew they were not permanent, yet they took the time make a creation others could enjoy.
