While snorkeling in Hawaii I came across a number of green sea turtles. The sunlight dancing on their shells reminded me of stained glass windows. To add to the sense of stained glass, the large basalt rock landscape derived from Hawaii’s lava flows felt like gothic columns in a cathedral.
