When I arrived in Nebraska
at the start of the Sandhill crane migration, little did I know
how entranced I would become with this ancient bird species.
The wildness of their call, their grace, and the joy of their
"dancing" are perfect examples why the crane is one
of the most revered species of birds in the world.
