Cross Country
ORIGINAL OIL by Linda Besse - 9" X 12"

Whenever I drive through Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, or Saskatchewan, I am on the lookout for pronghorn. Their beautiful coats are only matched by their perfectly adapted physiques for the environment. Considered the fastest land animal after the cheetah, they can reach speeds up to 55 mph (maintaining it for 1/2 mile) and hold a run at 35 mph for 4 miles.
