Ingwe is an African word for leopard, and this 18-month old was all leopard. Playful one moment, unpredictable the next. Maybe my close encounter with her, when she unexpectedly leapt up on me, led to the inspiration for this painting. Maybe it was just my fascination with this, my favorite of the cat
