Wild Mustang
ORIGINAL OIL by Linda Besse 22" X 32"
C.M. Russell Museum Auction August 21, 2021

The Pryor Mountain wild horses are descended from horses brought to this continent by the Spanish in the fifteen and sixteen hundreds. Over the centuries, their descendants worked their way north and have been in the Pryor Mountains of Wyoming and Montana for over 200 years.

These are magnificent animals and the last shafts of sunlight added to this stallion's breathtaking beauty.
