This spot in South Africa was exhilarating. The four of us (our guide, tracker, and my husband and I) climbed up the steep plateau and were rewarded with a commanding view. Behind us was a large overhang with a cave at the back. When our guide peeked inside, a large furry shape leapt over his head. His only conclusion was that he had disturbed a leopard’s lair.
