In this painting I wanted the viewer to explore the feeling of texture, color, and a unique reflection. Painting cedar shake walls requires numerous colors for the shingles and a good understanding of shadows. The buoys required mixing a rainbow of colors, often ones I don’t generally use in my wildlife paintings. Finally, incorporated in the piece is a window reflection of a building which the viewer cannot see.
